Thinking about a flat roof for your Phoenix pad? Not a bad choice. They look fresh, and you get bonus space on top! Plus, they rock in the Phoenix heat – slap on some cooling stuff, solar panels, or even a garden. Do it right, and your flat roof will keep your place safe for years and lower those bills.
Why Go Flat?
Flat roofs have lots going for them. They’re usually cheaper than those pointy roofs because they use less stuff and don’t take as long to build. Taking care of them is easier too – just walk up and check things out. And, flat roofs can help cut energy costs. Add special coatings or plants to bounce the heat away. Phoenix sun can make your AC work overtime, so a flat roof can be a savior.
What’s It Made Of?
What your roof is made of is super key to it lasting. Some choices are TPO, EPDM, PVC, and modified bitumen. TPO and PVC are heat and UV ray champs – perfect for sunny Phoenix. EPDM is flexible and strong, and modified bitumen gives a waterproof layer to keep out the water and other junk. Each one is a bit different, so your pick depends on your needs and wallet.
How to Do It Right
Flat roof installation in Phoenix AZ needs some skill. You gotta get the slope right so water doesn’t hang around. The installers need a good base, put on the waterproof stuff right, and seal all the edges to stop leaks. Flashing around vents and skylights keeps water out. Done well, your roof lives longer, and you skip big repairs later.
Want your flat roof to last? Gotta take care of it. Check now and then for cracks, leaks, or leaves. Clean it to stop water from piling up. You can also add reflective coatings to stay energy smart and block the sun. With a little care, a flat roof can easily last 20 or 30 years, keeping your Phoenix place safe.
Go Green!
Flat roofs in Phoenix are an eco-friendly choice. Add solar panels, catch rainwater, and use cool surfaces to beat the heat. Save money on energy and help the planet. A flat roof is a smart move.
Find the Right People
Hiring pros to put in your flat roof is key. Good contractors will get it done right, using good stuff and paying attention to detail. They can help you pick the right materials, work out the slope, and plan to keep it in shape. Do this, and your flat roof will do its thing for years.
The Last Word
Flat roofs in Phoenix are a good bet – they’re tough, save energy, and are easy to care for. With the right stuff, a good install, and regular care, a flat roof can protect your place.

I have worked with several contractors on projects. Scott and his crew were outstanding! His followup and communication was the best I have experienced.
I strongly recommend you give him a chance to work with you.

I contracted with NIH for roof repair and am very satisfied with their work. We needed to replace the weatherproofing under the tiles and the job was completed in 2 days. We also had an attic ventilation fan installed which seems to be working well - the air conditioner runs less and the house cools faster. That fan is very quiet and I've only heard it from outside the house. Too soon to put an energy savings number to it.

It was nice to have some knowledgeable and professional come out to my house and not try to sell me something I didn't need. We just bought a house and we were concerned with the health of our roof. Scott talked through inspection of the roof, making suggestions, and ultimately landed on not needing any work to be done at this moment. Again, I have had several companies come out to look at other areas of the house only to have them try to sell me something I didn't need. It was nice to talk with someone with integrity. Thanks again!

Nothing but good to say about New Image Homes through the whole roofing project. Always prompt communication and service. Several things outside their control led to delays, and New Image was right there as soon as possible afterwards. Crews were top notch.

Scott has been great to help with my roof.
I had two other companies I paid to come out to fix a leak and their methods didn't work.
Scott came out once and had it all figured out. Now my leak is completely gone!

New Image did a wonderful job fixing our minor repairs on our roof in Gilbert. Very personable, knowledgeable and most importantly, trustworthy. I would hire them again without a doubt.
